There was a touch of the Wild Wild West in the Louis Vuitton Cruise collection, with cowboy style leather motifs decorating lace dresses that reminded one of a baudy saloon, and sharp cowboy collars on tight fitting leather women's coats.
Stiff trousers in pinks and yellows looked equally inspired by the great outdoors, and were made of tough work materials that might be worn to ride a horse or fight a bull in a ring but turned out here in pretty colors.
There were also other flavors that ran through the collection, for example, elegance in the form of a fur stole and chunky gold necklaces or petite striped bags and glossy high heel shoes with chunky heels and ankle straps.
Nature flowed through the selection also, with what looked like little pods wrapped in slithers of autumnal leaves climbing up loose fitting leather mini skirts.
And there was art in the form of a white gauze-like dress decorated down one side with red lines, and red swirls running the length of one arm with black blocks covering the other half of the dress.
It was a colorful, eclectic and young collection filled with luxurious materials and high end finish, and even if it looked like it was partly inspired by rough cultures and hardy creatures like cowboys, it was finished to a level that any luxury client would expect.
